Urban to Rural Life

Meet Abby Janousek of Omaha, Nebraska, and David Ktoba of Dallas, Texas. While Wayne State hardly boasts the population of either of these urban centers, Abby and David still found plenty to do in and out of the classroom to adjust to their new rural life. Abby has found a home with her sorority, her friends in the Science Education program, and in her role as a Resident Assistant in Bowen Hall. Abby also enjoys visiting downtown Wayne for shopping, movies, or a quick cup of coffee. David has found small-college life still offers plenty of big opportunities, such as his job with Wayne State’s Network and Technology Services department servicing hardware while working toward his Computer Science and Web Analyst degree. Both say the Wayne community has made them feel right at home.
